About Alexandra
Alexandra Rock is a Nutritional Therapist who has established her nutritional therapy practice in London on completing her training as a Nutritional Therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION).
Alexandra holds a BSc Hons in Biochemistry from Imperial College and is an Associate of the Royal School of Science (ARCS).
The ION, established in London in 1984, is a leading educational and research establishment in the field of Nutrition and was co-founded by Patrick Holford and Nobel prize winner Linus Pauling.
Previous to training as a Nutritional Therapist Alexandra worked in marketing in both the hotel industry and the cosmetics industry, and has a Diploma in Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Alexandra has always been passionate about healthy eating and the pursuit of an active and relaxed lifestyle as the means to enjoying optimum well being. Alexandra was led to recognising the importance of good nutrition through personal health challenges and by raising two healthy and vibrant children. Alexandra’s areas of special interest include: women’s health, postnatal depression, children’s health and stress management.
Alexandra very much enjoys working closely with clients to establish tailor made nutritional therapy programmes.
Alexandra is a full member of the British Association for Applied Nutritional Therapy (BANT), which is regulated by the Nutritional therapy Council (NTC). Alexandra Is also a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners.
Alexandra attends regular educational events to increase her knowledge and to keep up to date with research and developments in the field of nutrition.
